When you got to know about this Italian wonder for the first time, it might spark your desire to know more about flavor nuances of espresso drink.
Maybe you just want to try out Caramel Latte, but your local coffee shop only serves Flat Whites. Or maybe, you just want to introduce something new to your taste buds. Sounds familiar?
Follow these espresso recipes to brew a delicious cup of java at the comfort of your home.
1. Cafe Latte

Do you love frothy drinks sending you to a crema wonderland of milk steamed to perfection paired with espresso?
This specialty drink dates back to the 1980s, when it was first introduced in Seattle and Washington. The term Café au lait or Cafe Latte is what traditionally called in Scandinavia and the northern part of Europe.
Latte has a lot of variations when it comes to flavors. Try this French version of Latte to make your frothy dreams come true to your taste buds.
What will you need?
- Espresso shot
- Milk
- 1 shot of flavored simple syrup (Optional)
Instructions to make it
- Pull out an espresso shot into your favorite latte cup.
- At this point, you can add the chocolate syrup to it if you like.
- Pour the milk into the pitcher. Using the steam wand nozzle, build the froth by starting from just below the surface of the milk. This will be done by simply turning on the steam option on the espresso maker or you’ll have to use milk frother separately.
- Take the help of a spoon to retain the micro-bubbles on top of the steamed milk.
- You can pour 2/3 of the steamed milk from the steaming pitcher into the latte cup.
- The froth bubbles you retained with the spoon, use it for topping your cafe latte.

What will you need?
- Milk (2 cups)
- Caramel Sauce (1/4th of a cup)
- Granulated Sugar (2 tablespoons)
- Strongly brewed coffee (1 cup)
Instructions to make it
- Take a saucepan, pour in the milk, caramel sauce, and sugar.
- Heat all these over medium heat.
- Turn the stove off once the caramel sauce and sugar have completely dissolved, at this point, bubbles start coming at the edges of the pan.
- Take a blender and pour the mixture you made in the saucepan to this blender.
- Blend it till you see the froth building up, blend this mixture for about 3 minutes.
- Take your favorite cup and fill 1/3rd of it with hot coffee.
- Top the hot coffee cup with a mixture of caramel and milk you made in the blender.
- You can froth this cup by spooning it or even sprinkle some caramel syrup for presentation and its ready to serve!
3. Peanut Butter Espresso Smoothie

What will you need?
- Vodka (50milliliters)
- Coffee liqueur (35 mm)
- Espresso (1 shot, about 25 mm)
- Ice as much as you like
Instructions to make it
- Firstly, take a cocktail shaker and pour in the coffee liquor, espresso, ice, and vodka.
- Add ice to the martini glass to chill it.
- Put the cocktail shaker’s top on and lock it. Shake it vigorously till you wake each granule to life!
- Take out all the ice from the martini glass (this prevents diluting your diluting).
- Put a sieve over your martini glass and spill the cocktail shaker contents over it.
- Watch the smooth, frothy blend sieve through the strainer.
- When the martini glass is 3/4th way filled to the brim, remove the sieve.
- Top with 3-4 coffee beans and watch all that beautiful foam layering the top of your drink settle. Serve immediately.
6. Cafe Bombon
This espresso recipe is just like a dream come true for a sweet tooth confection-ist. This classic drink roots from Valencia in Spain which spread its roots to Europe and Asia because of its spectacular sweetness coupled with a unique aroma.
Very simple to stew, and the aftermath feels are pretty satiating.
What will you need?
- Espresso (2 oz)
- Condensed milk (2 oz)
- Whipped cream (this’s optional, but if you use it then, 2 oz )
- Vanilla Extract (quarter teaspoon)
- Cocoa Powder (2 teaspoons)
Instructions to make it
- Prepare a medium-sized bowl, add whipped cream and vanilla extract to it.
- Using a hand mixer, whip the two thoroughly till they become well assembled.
- Brew two ounces of espresso and pour it into a transparent cup.
- In this cup also add the condensed milk, make sure the ratio you are putting in for the milk to the espresso is 1:1.
- Once this is done, scoop the whipped cream and gently top the transparent glass of espresso and condensed milk with it making a layer.
- For presentation, sprinkle some cocoa powder over the cream layer.
- Serve alongside a spoon.
7. Cafecito (Cafe Cubano)

- Brew coffee in either a Moka pot or a regular coffee maker, whichever of the two you have at your avail. Make sure your brewed coffee should be extra strong.
- Take a cup and pour in the sugar, water, and some coffee.
- Beat and whip all 3 till they turn into a smooth mixture.
- Pour the strongly brewed coffee into this cup of mixture.

- Lock the cocktail shaker and shake for about 10-15 seconds.
